Music, Light and Memories…

In some way, photography has always been with me over the past decades - I cannot even remember when I got my first pocket film camera, followed a short while later by a 1960s Agfa point-and-shoot camera and in 1988 by my first SLR, a Minolta X-300. Fast-forward past a number of digital point-and-shoots and many snapshots were taken of friends and family, vacations were documented, and so – eventually – friends and family were photographed. At some point, I started taking pictures at festivals like Castlefest.

All the time, I did not really have very high photographic ambition – or so I thought… …until I joined CeltCast and at some point in 2023, one of them encouraged me to upload a selection of the photos I had made at a festival for use on their socials as well. And to my surprise, those photos were liked, and I even got some positive reactions from some of the bands. That was when the photography-bug finally bit me for real and I started to take things a bit more seriously… By now, you can see me with my two Nikon DSLRs (and typically in a CeltCast t-shirt) at many festivals, large and small, and more recently, I've also shot a book release. Beyond that, I've been dabbling with more creative photos, not least inspired by the #BlueskyArtShow.

So, feel free to look around at my work (which will be added slowly over the next few weeks)!
